Meet Dharan Longley
Director and Principal Trainer
As principal trainer at Training Source, and as highly experienced trainer and group facilitator, with extensive experience across all training sectors, Dharan leads workshops throughout New Zealand. He has also delivered training in three Middle East countries.
With a long-standing interest in supporting the way people communicate, Dharan is inspired by the evidence that being successful at work depends on creating a healthy balance between relating well to others, while we focus on our daily task list.
As a specialist in training and facilitation skills, his core approach is to encourage a growth mindset in course participants, using the practice of mindfulness to build emotional resilience and adaptability in these fast changing times.
To achieve the healthy balance we're all looking for, Dharan integrates both leading edge research, our intuitive awareness, and practical skills.
By applying proven strategies to real world situations, workshop attendees feel supported to communicate more openly, enabling more effective teamwork in making quality decisions.
His clients include a wide range of organisations including government departments, councils and businesses.
He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Professional Development, BA, Diploma of Teaching, with Certificates in Adult Teaching, Supervision and Conflict Resolution. Dharan is a registered counsellor with NZAC, a member of NZATD (NZ Association of Training and Development) and is a professional development coach.
In his spare time he enjoys kite surfing and exploring forests, rivers and beaches for the perfect photograph.
